I’m down
I’m down. I’m down with fever, bad cough and running nose. I have been on medical leave for 2 days. Although tons of medicines were taken, the recovery rate is very slow. Don’t know what’s wrong to me. It has been long time I never sick so seriously. 一年不发市,发市当三年。So coincidence, company having lines down issue. My boss calls me up to go back to work. Are you crazy? I’m very sorry that I can’t help. I cannot scarify my personal life/safety to resolve your quality issue. Now I’m weak and can’t even step down from my bed. How can you expect me to work for you? 神经病。

Boon Teong & Swee Heng’s Wedding Day
5th Jan 2008 – I’m grateful for having a chance to shoot in their wedding ceremony and dinner. This is another good exposure for me. Although this is not an easy job, but I enjoy it. The shooting was started as early at 7am, where the bride had her makeup at one of the bridal house in town. The most funny part started when the groom comes to “get” his bride at around 9am. It is really funny to see his bestman kena kau kau with bridesmaids. This makes me recall 7 years ago, same situatation to me, kena kau kau as well with “lobak” filled with cili padi. :p Less talk coz I’m not good in English and story writing. :p I would like to thanks to the bride and groom for giving me a great opportunity for me to expose in wedding photography. 愿您们俩恩恩爱爱, 白头偕老. Thanks to my “sifu” Danny, allow me to follow him as the 2nd photographer and for being my mentor and sharing to me his valuable BKM.

Impromptu Wedding Event Photography
30th Dec 2007 – This is my cousin, Kok Boo and Eunice “big day”. Congratulation to them. 祝他们两新婚快乐,永浴爱河. Eventually I was not prepared for this event and this is my first wedding project shots. I knew wedding photography is not a try and error shooting. I don’t have a chance to think or plan for what I’m going to do next or what setting I have to use. The moment is so spontaneous and I can’t afford to miss it. Lucky, I’m still able to cover those major and important moments. I think the pressure is not that high if there is another photographer to back me up. Well, as summary, this is fun and good experience for me.

Re-activate my blog site
This blog eventually has been inactive for quite a long time (~1 year
). It is time for me to turn this site on again. This round, I think I would like to focus more on my photography projects. This should be the best way to share my works to my friends and even to the world. Since I’m still new in world of photography, comment and critique are welcome. This is the part from process of learning.
My interest in photography started in 1999. I’m feel very impressive to those pro’s can take a very good and nice photos. Sadly, my involvement is just a short period of time only. This is because owning camera gears need very strong financial background to support. As a beginner, I tend to do lots of mistake and its turn out spending lots of money on it. I was quite agree on this phrase – “No pain, no gain”. However, this pain really hurt.
In Mar’07, my interest comes back to life where nowadays, the digital photography is so popular and affordable and I’m started my DSLR investment again. DLSR can allow us to do more experiments without worrying of wasting money in developing spoiled negative. Furthermore, we can have an effective feedback loop where we can know our results right a way after the shutter button was clicked. This is good for a beginner like me and it can speed up the learning process.
Mainly, most of my camera shutter count goes to my youngest son. He is my FOC model all the time. Because of that, I was told by my wife that since I had invested in DSLR, why not try to look for others opportunities of DLSR can do for me rather than just taking my son’s photos. From now on, I would like to give a try on all kind of photography categories like landscape, potrait and even abstract. Hopefully, my photography interest will keep on rolling, rolling and rolling…
Life in US
BORING… no other word can describe better. Everyday eat, sleep, work… eat, sleep, work… This is my life in US.
Saw lots of blogs talk about the Queensbays Mall (QBM). A lots of comments read, somes good and somes bad. Some even posted photos of the mall. Make me can’t wait to see myself how nice is this shopping mall. I guess the only best thing of this mall is… we can have another new “makan” place to go during Friday lunch hour. No need to think about where to go and where to eat. It’s near as well. If you want to avoid traffic jam, you can take boat or sampan from Sg Nibong Big Longkang until you reach QBM sea side. You can save a lot on petrol and parking fees as well. Another option is to take bus #11. You should reach there within 30min. It should be enough since Friday, we have longer break due to our friend got to “or-e-or”. I took a quick look on the shops listing in QBM, looks like only GAP, Levi’s, Guess, OshKosh B’Gosh, Nike and Borders can be found in US. The rest of the brands don’t know where they come from? Ha… Don’t know shopping at QBM can be cheaper price compare to US? Tell you some secret, the merchandise that sold in US mostly are reject items. I just wonder why so many people so “gila” to buy in US. All “tipu” one lah. Like I bought a Levi’s 569 jean over here, it cost USD26.99. I guess it should be cheap if you compare to buy @Malaysia. Tell you what… the jean got reject one due to poor workmanship. That’s why got one chinese proverb saying “cheap thing no good thing;good thing no cheap thing”… -_-”
